WALK ON ROLL-UP COVERS are specially engineered to cover large machine tool way surfaces and open pits. Regardless of the size of the area being protected, these covers will easily endure constant use and support the weight of heavy chip loads and personnel. Additionally, by utilizing a flat stainless steel top surface, the contents under the cover are completely protected and contaminants such as cutting lubricants, hot chips, and dust cannot penetrate into the machine’s interior.
OPEN REEL TYPE ROLL-UP COVERS are extremely versatile and are build to protect machine areas where medium to light-duty protection is required.
Common features of open reel type roll-up covers:
- .020” Neoprene/Nylon
- .040” Neoprene/Nylon
- .020” Viton/Fiberglass
- .010” Teflon/Kevlar
CANISTER REEL TYPE ROLL-UP COVERS are essentially open reel covers mounted inside a protective canister. The canister serves to prevent contact between the covers moving take up mechanism and the external environment. This reduces the potential for accidents to personnel working near the take up mechanism, and also guards the take up mechanism and wound cover segments from damage that may result from shop accidents.
Common features of Canister Reel type covers:
- .020” Neoprene/ Nylon
- .040” Hypalon/Nylon
- .020” Viton/Fiberglass
- .010” Teflon/Kevlar
CANISTER STAINLESS STEEL ROLL-UP COVERS are used in the most harsh shop environments. Because of the covers underlying aluminum support structure, the cover is walk on capable and will easily bear the weight of heavy chip loads. Additionally, the covers stainless steel top surface will not rust or corrode, nor will it allow any penetration of unwanted substances below its surface. The canister is very compact, making this cover the ultimate means of providing heavy-duty protection in a limited space environment.
To reduce the unwanted accumulation of chips and other debris on the covers top surface, an optional brush or wiper blade can be mounted on the canister. This very popular option is easily replaceable and contributes greatly to the cleanliness of the machine’s work area.
FABRIC APRON COVERS are extremely versatile and are built to protect machine areas where medium to light-duty protection is required.
Common features of Fabric Apron covers:
- .020” Neoprene/Nylon- used in light-duty applications where protections against hot chips isn’t necessary and temperatures do not exceed. Material is best used for a dust or contamination cover.
- .040” Hypalon/Nylon- used in moderate-duty applications requiring a very strong material that is resistant to coolants and machine oils. Withstand temperatures up to 300.
- .060” Hypalon/Nylon- used in heavier duty applications requiring a very durable material. Offers temperature resistances up to 250.
- .020” Viton/Fiberglass- used in severe applications where excellent resistance to coolants, oils, and high temperatures is necessary. Withstands temperatures up to 1000.
- .010” Teflon/Kevlar- used in hot, sharp chip applications. Material is very resistant to tearing due to hot, sharp chips.
STEEL RIBBED APRON COVERS When space is at a premium, sharp corners are a problem, and heavy chip volume prohibits the use of fabric apron covers, steel ribbed apron covers provide simple, but very effective protection against high temperature swarf and other abrasives. Steel, brass, or aluminum bars are riveted to either a PVC-coated high tensile polyester fabric, or a heat resistant aluminum asbestos fabric.
Steel Ribbed advantages:
- Strong and rigid laminated construction.
- Heat resistance against hot chips, oil, grease, coolants, etc.
- Outstanding protection against large chip volumes.
- Long, maintenance free life.
- Simple mounting and installation.
- Best used in tight spaces and around sharp corners.
- Reasonable pricing and cost saving advantages.
SEAL LINK APRON COVERS Where space limitations, exposure to very hot chips, and sealing characteristics and a concern, Seal Link covers provide an excellent solution. The key to the effectiveness of the cover is a very durable and unique rubber link that joins the cover’s closely link aluminum guards. The aluminum guards repel the chips, and the rubber link seals out all, or nearly all, liquid substances. The link is tear resistant and the cover will provide years of outstanding performance.
Why Seal Link?
- Resistant against hot chips, oil, greases coolants, etc.
- Resists constant temperatures to 640 .
- Outstanding protection against large chip volumes.
- Long, maintenance free life.
- Simple mounting and installation.
- Works well in tight spaces and around sharp corners.
- Reasonable pricing and cost saving advantages.
